Nature’s Philosophy
a morning poem
By the morning
therein Lord’s Courtyard
the alarm of birds are heard thereabout.
Mockers arise before the dawn
thereof.
Thy philosophy, an observation
set forth at will.
Nature and Nature’s works
vehemently lay hid therein.
Wherefore at night
therein Lord’s court,
shall it not be from East,
to what degree orange lightning
hast been shown forth without thunder.
And the clouds evade
bright at dawn,
O god could it be Venus?
The morning star:
Roman goddess of love, orange therein Earth’s sky.
