under the sun, in the place of
refuge, justice and judgement did I
lack of.

​ ​ ​​​ ​​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ ​Wherefore to what degree shall
my mine and body know of
the temperature hereon this earth.

​ ​ ​​​ ​​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ ​Therefore here within the Old Line State
of Maryland, practice of slavery are impart of
the culture in my time and
in bibical times.

​ ​ ​​​ ​​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ ​Yet the destitution of the abolition of
slavery remain: and for He
who is enslaved “pre se” among
governmental activity…

​ ​ ​​​ ​​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ ​​ ​ ​​​ ​ ​And Yet, thy path of justice
is therefore the hallowed place,
by Law.
